Terms of Service

These terms ("Terms") govern your use of Tukey, a service operated by Tukey Inc. ("Tukey", "we", "us"), a corporation incorporated under the federal laws of Canada. By creating an account or using Tukey, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use Tukey.

If you take part in Tukey's Creator Survey, the section Creator Survey participation and gift card below also applies to you.

What Tukey is

Tukey is a decision workspace for professional creators. It reads data about the YouTube channels you connect, and, where we offer it, public content from Instagram Professional accounts you have verified, and uses that context to help you understand those accounts, identify content opportunities, and produce content artifacts (scripts, hooks, thumbnail concepts, and similar). Instagram features may be provided as a controlled beta to a limited set of users and are not generally available.

Tukey is currently in active development. Features may change, become unavailable, or be removed.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. If you discover unauthorized access, tell us at support@tukey.ai.

Connecting YouTube channels

When you connect a YouTube channel to Tukey, you grant Tukey permission, via Google OAuth, to read information about that channel using the scopes disclosed in our Privacy Policy. You can revoke that permission at any time, either inside Tukey or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. You represent that you have the right to grant this access for the channels you connect.

Connecting Instagram accounts

You may connect only an Instagram account that you control or are authorized to manage, and you represent that this is the case for any account you connect. Tukey may use the connection to verify your control of the account through Instagram's login.

At your request, Tukey may retrieve and analyze publicly available content from that verified account to provide creator understanding and content recommendations, as described in our Privacy Policy. You must not use Tukey to analyze accounts you are not authorized to manage, to profile other people's accounts, or to evade any access restriction of Instagram or any other platform.

Connecting an account does not give Tukey authorization to publish to it or to change it, and Tukey does not request that authorization. You can revoke Tukey's authorization at any time in your Instagram account's settings under Apps and Websites, and you can request deletion of your Instagram information as described in our Privacy Policy.

YouTube

Tukey uses YouTube API Services to read data about the channels you connect. By using Tukey, you are agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Tukey's access to your YouTube data at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.

Instagram and Meta

Your use of any Instagram feature in Tukey is also subject to the applicable Instagram and Meta terms, including the Instagram Terms of Use. Tukey is an independent service and is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or a partner of Meta or Instagram.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Tukey to violate any law or third-party rights, including YouTube's Terms of Service or community guidelines and Instagram's or Meta's terms and policies;
  • connect, or request analysis of, a channel or account you are not authorized to manage;
  • use any Tukey beta or feature to profile competitors, other people's accounts, or arbitrary accounts;
  • attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that don't belong to you;
  • attempt to extract Tukey's underlying models or training data, or use Tukey to build a competing service;
  • interfere with the operation of Tukey or impose unreasonable load on it;
  • use Tukey to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or designed to deceive — including content that impersonates real people without consent.

Your content and public content

You retain the rights you have in content you provide to Tukey, in the accounts you connect, and in anything you create in Tukey ("Your Content"). Public platform content and third-party material — including other people, collaborators, voices, music, and licensed material that appear in public posts — remain subject to their respective rights, and nothing in these Terms transfers those rights to you or to Tukey.

You grant Tukey a non-exclusive, limited permission to host, process, analyze, and display Your Content and the information Tukey retrieves at your request as necessary to provide the analysis and features you ask for. This permission does not transfer ownership of anything to Tukey.

Output from Tukey

Tukey produces text and other outputs in response to your prompts and requests, including profiles and recommendations. To the extent we hold any rights in those outputs, we assign them to you. You're responsible for reviewing outputs before using them and for complying with platform rules and third-party rights in what you make from them. AI systems can produce inaccurate or misleading content; don't rely on Tukey's output as professional advice.

Service availability and changes

We try to keep Tukey running, but we don't promise uninterrupted availability. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time, including beta features.

Termination

You can stop using Tukey and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use Tukey in a way that risks harm to other users, to Tukey, or to third parties.

Creator Survey participation and gift card

Tukey Inc. runs the Creator Survey: short interviews with creators about how they decide what to make next. This section applies if you submit the Creator Survey form or take part in a Creator Survey interview. You do not need a Tukey account to take part.

Who can take part. You must be at least 18 years old and live in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom or Australia. Tukey employees and contractors, and members of their households, cannot take part.

Selection. Submitting the form does not guarantee an invitation. Tukey decides whom to invite, and we may confirm the country you live in before inviting you. Tukey may end the Creator Survey at any time; ending it does not affect a gift card you have already earned.

Completing the interview. The interview is scheduled for about 25 minutes. You complete it by substantially completing the scheduled interview. If Tukey cancels, or a technical problem stops the interview, we may reschedule it and you stay eligible for the gift card. Missing a scheduled interview without an excuse is not a completed interview.

The gift card. Each participant who completes an interview receives one digital Amazon gift card worth the local-currency equivalent of US$50. There is one gift card per participant, with no cash alternative and no substitution. We deliver it within 7 US business days after your completed interview.

Which Amazon store. The gift card is for the Amazon store of the country you live in: Amazon.com for the United States, Amazon.ca for Canada, Amazon.co.uk for the United Kingdom, and Amazon.com.au for Australia. Tukey calculates the local-currency amount using the public mid-market exchange rate on the card-issuance date and rounds to the nearest whole unit of local currency.

Amazon's terms. Amazon gift cards are subject to Amazon's applicable terms.

Your relationship with Tukey. Taking part does not make you an employee, contractor or agent of Tukey.

Who runs the Creator Survey. The Creator Survey is run by Tukey Inc. It is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Reddit, Amazon or Google.

Your information. How we handle your survey information is described in the Creator Survey participants section of our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer

Tukey is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tukey Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or related to your use of Tukey. Tukey Inc.'s total liability to you for all claims arising out of these Terms or your use of Tukey will not exceed the amount you paid Tukey in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You and Tukey agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Toronto, Ontario for any dispute arising under these Terms.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, if you have an account, notify you by email or in-app. Your continued use of Tukey after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
