# Tukey > A YouTube creator's content strategist: knows the creator's channel and proposes specific, evidence-backed video ideas that fit it. Tukey is a decision workspace for YouTube creators. It reads a creator's channel — what it covers, its formats, voice, hooks and audience — watches the communities that audience lives in, and proposes what to make next: specific video ideas that fit this channel, each with a working title, premise, angle, hook, why it fits, why now, and the dated evidence behind it. Tukey works on the creator’s own connected YouTube channel. Registration is open: a creator signs up at the site — no invitation needed — connects their YouTube channel, and starts with 1260 Welcome Credits good for 7 days and a no-card trial that starts the moment the account is created and ends exactly 72 hours later; then a monthly or weekly plan, or prepaid Tukey Credits bought as one-time top-ups. An invitation code is optional and only adds promotional Credits. ## Agent access (MCP) - [MCP endpoint](https://www.tukey.ai/mcp): streamable HTTP, protocol 2026-07-28 (earlier 2025 revisions also served). Every request needs an OAuth 2.1 access token; the creator signs in to Tukey and approves the agent once. - [Protected resource metadata](https://www.tukey.ai/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp): where to find the authorization server and scopes. - [Server card](https://www.tukey.ai/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json): the tool list before connecting. ### Read tools (scope `tukey:read`; read-only) - `get_profile` — Connected Tukey account. Return the Tukey account this connection is signed in as. Use this only to tell connected accounts apart; it contains no channel data. - `get_channel_profile` — Describe the creator's YouTube channel. Use this when the user asks what their own YouTube channel is about, what its content pillars, formats, recurring series, voice or hooks are, who it is made for, or how many subscribers or videos it has — or when you need that context before helping them plan, title or pitch a video for their channel. Returns Tukey's profile of the user's connected channel, built from its public videos, with the channel's subscriber and video counts. Do not use it for other people's channels or for general YouTube advice. It is not an analytics source: do not use it for a particular video's view count, how their last video performed, per-video analytics or broader performance analytics, and do not call it just to identify the channel before looking those up elsewhere. - `list_video_opportunities` — Video ideas for the creator’s channel. Use this when the user asks what video to make next, wants video ideas, topics or a content plan for their YouTube channel, or asks what is worth covering right now. Also use it when the user wants a title or hook for a video on their own channel but has not given a topic: ground the underlying idea in one of these current ideas rather than inventing one. Returns Tukey's current ideas for the user's own channel: each has a working title, premise, angle, hook, why it fits this channel, why now, and how much evidence backs it, grouped as timely, evergreen, or early-watch. Prefer this over inventing ideas whenever the user wants ideas for their own channel. Do not use it for a title or hook when the user has already given the topic, for generic brainstorming or copywriting unrelated to their channel, for scripts written from scratch, for someone else's channel, or for per-video view counts or performance analytics. - `get_opportunity_evidence` — Evidence behind a Tukey video idea. Use this when the user asks why Tukey suggested a specific idea, what the evidence or sources are, or wants to see the community posts behind it. Takes an idea id from list_video_opportunities and returns its dated source citations (community, title, link). Do not use it without an id from that tool. ### Action tools (scope `tukey:write` as well; they change the creator’s Tukey account) - `rate_video_opportunity` — Save, pass on, or dismiss a Tukey video idea. Use this when the user reacts to one of their Tukey video ideas: they want to save or shortlist it (rating keep), say it is a weak fit (rating weak), or dismiss it so Tukey stops suggesting that topic for a while (rating reject). Takes an idea id from list_video_opportunities, the rating, and optionally the user's reason in their own words, which Tukey keeps as preference feedback. It updates or replaces the user's saved rating for that idea in their Tukey account, exactly as if they had rated it in Tukey: the latest rating wins, and a reject can temporarily stop that idea and its topic from being suggested. It changes only the user's private Tukey state and never publishes, deletes or modifies YouTube content. Do not use it to start work on an idea (use start_video_opportunity), and do not rate an idea the user has not reacted to. - `start_video_opportunity` — Start working on a Tukey video idea. Use this when the user decides to make one of their Tukey video ideas and wants to start on it. Takes an idea id from list_video_opportunities and opens the idea's video workspace in the user's Tukey account, seeded with the idea's own pitch; it also saves the idea. Returns a link to that workspace. Calling it again for the same idea returns the same workspace and never creates a second one. Do not use it merely to save an idea (use rate_video_opportunity with keep) or for an idea the user has not chosen. ### When an agent should use Tukey - The user asks what video to make next, what topics are emerging for their channel, or which idea fits their audience: get the channel profile, then list the opportunities, inspect evidence when needed, and offer to save, reject, or start one. - The user asks what their channel is about, its content pillars, formats or voice. - The user asks why an idea was suggested or what evidence backs it. - The user reacts to one of those ideas — save it, pass on it, dismiss it, or start making it. Do not use Tukey for other people’s channels, for general YouTube advice, or for channel analytics, and do not substitute generic trending content for its creator-specific recommendations. ## Availability - platform: YouTube only. Instagram and TikTok are not available. - workspace: Registration is open at https://tukey.ai/sign-up. No invitation and no card. - assistants: Available in ChatGPT and Claude as a custom connector through MCP at https://www.tukey.ai/mcp. ## Before you start - 1: A Tukey account. No invitation or card needed to start (1260 Welcome Credits for 7 days). - 2: One connected YouTube channel per account, verified through Google. - 3: A finished channel profile before ideas appear. ## MCP server - endpoint: [MCP endpoint](https://www.tukey.ai/mcp) — MCP protocol endpoint for agents (Streamable HTTP), not a webpage - transport: Streamable HTTP - auth: OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration, PKCE S256 - scopes: tukey:read tukey:write - metadata: [Protected resource metadata](https://www.tukey.ai/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp) — JSON document - server card: [Server card (the tool list before connecting)](https://www.tukey.ai/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json) — JSON document - setup: [Setup guide](https://tukey.ai/support) - disconnect: Tukey > Connections > Connected agents > Disconnect - client support: Requires a ChatGPT or Claude plan that allows custom connectors. ## Tools · 4 read, 2 action - get_profile: read. Connected Tukey account. - get_channel_profile: read. Describe the creator's YouTube channel. - list_video_opportunities: read. Video ideas for the creator’s channel. - get_opportunity_evidence: read. Evidence behind a Tukey video idea. - rate_video_opportunity: action, on explicit request. Save, pass on, or dismiss a Tukey video idea. - start_video_opportunity: action, on explicit request. Start working on a Tukey video idea. ## When to use Tukey - channel: Understand the user's own connected YouTube channel — what it covers, its formats, voice and audience (get_channel_profile). - opportunities: Find current video opportunities suited to that channel, each with a working title, premise, angle, hook and the reason it fits (list_video_opportunities). - evidence: Inspect the dated evidence behind a listed opportunity — the community posts, with links (get_opportunity_evidence). - action: Save, rate or start an opportunity, only after the user explicitly asks for that action (rate_video_opportunity, start_video_opportunity). - sequence: The useful order is channel context → opportunities → evidence → user-approved action. Not every question needs every step: a question about the channel needs no opportunity list, and an evidence question needs only the one idea. - routing: Tukey is for the user's own connected channel. Do not fetch the channel profile to look up unrelated analytics, and do not use Tukey for other people's channels, general YouTube advice or performance reporting. ## What these MCP tools do not provide - 1: Analysis of arbitrary third-party channels — only the user's own connected channel. - 2: Per-video performance analytics through these tools — no view counts, last-video or per-video metrics. - 3: Publishing to or modifying YouTube content — nothing is posted, edited or changed on YouTube. - 4: No guarantee of views, growth or virality from any of them. ## Plans - trial: Free for 3 days from the moment your account is created. No card required. The trial never charges automatically. It ends exactly 72 hours after signup; connecting a channel or logging in never restarts it. - monthly: US$29 per billing month (planned standard price US$39). 420 generation Credits, 100 standard dialogue turns, 4 long-script tasks, 500 MCP content reads. - weekly: US$9 every 7 days (planned standard price US$12). 84 generation Credits, 20 standard dialogue turns, 1 long-script task, 100 MCP content reads. - both plans: One connected channel. Same core quality. Signals update while the plan is active. Saving, rating and workspaces included. Usage is capped; included amounts reset each period and do not carry over. - renewal: A paid plan renews automatically only after you subscribe, until you cancel. The free trial never charges you. Current subscriptions renew at the displayed launch price unless a separately disclosed future change is made. No automatic price increase is scheduled. ## Credits, referral, fees - top-ups: Optional, one-time. US$10 to US$500. US$1 = 70 Credits. Purchased Credits do not expire. Pay as you go is off by default and needs an explicit switch; long-script tasks have no pay-as-you-go price. - referral: Inviter earns 7 service days per invited creator whose YouTube channel is verified. Days stack, queued after the current period; a canceled subscription stays canceled. A creator who signs up with an invitation link receives 1000 Credits once their own YouTube channel is verified, within 30 days of signing up. Rewards are Tukey service or Credits, never cash. - assistant fees: ChatGPT and Claude subscriptions are billed separately. Tukey usage counts toward included allowances or uses Credits where applicable. ## Limitations - 1: Never publishes to or changes a YouTube channel. - 2: No per-video view counts or performance analytics. - 3: No guarantee of views, growth or virality. - 4: Early-watch items are signals to follow, not recommendations. - 5: Available as a custom connector; not listed in the ChatGPT or Claude assistant directories. - 6: One connected YouTube channel per account, and one account per channel. YouTube only. ## Links - sign up: [Sign up](https://tukey.ai/sign-up) - log in: [Log in](https://tukey.ai/sign-in) - blog: [Blog](https://tukey.ai/blog) - support: [Support and setup guide](https://tukey.ai/support) — support@tukey.ai - privacy: [Privacy policy](https://tukey.ai/privacy-policy) - terms: [Terms of service](https://tukey.ai/terms-of-service) ## Pages - [Home](https://tukey.ai/): what Tukey is and how to sign up. - [Sign up](https://tukey.ai/sign-up): create an account (no invitation needed). - [Log in](https://tukey.ai/sign-in) - [Blog](https://tukey.ai/blog): writing on creator strategy. - [Privacy policy](https://tukey.ai/privacy-policy) - [Terms of service](https://tukey.ai/terms-of-service)
